DIY gifts pt. 2

Hey yoo. Here´s a few more DIY gifts i wanted to show. Now i only have one or two things to make, mustard atleast. I guess it´s starting to be some kind of tradition for me, this is the third year i make it. Very basic and traditional, but with different flavors you can make it pop whole new way. Maybe i will show that too when i get it done.
But now, let me introduce...

Bodyscrub

With just very few ingredients you can give some luxury for your friends and family members, who could preciate a little spa-vibes at home. I made three different kinds, since i had everything i needed already at home.
All of these has coarse sea salt and coconutoil as bottom.

Rose, lavender and vanilla: Rose is known for its moisturizing and protecting effects. It also smoothens and brightens skin, and works against aging. And atleast i find it´s smell very relaxing.
Lavender also relaxes, and is antiseptic.

Cornflower, lavender and vanilla: Cornflower is good for irritated and itchy skin. Can even help with atopy.

Cocoa and vanilla: Well, i guess we have all heard about the good effects you get when you eat raw cocoa, but your body also appreciates this stuff from outside. Magnesium, zink and chrome are all good for skin, and not to forget that it´s simply moisturizing. For chocolate lovers!

Flavored coffee

If you happen to be a coffee lover, you may have tried these from the store. Really nice little extra for your sunday mornings. But can get a little pricey! Luckily, there is no reason not to make them by yourself. Just buy your choice of normal coffee, and spice up! I go with basic cinnamon and cardamom, but be brave, try for example:
-Chili (dried)
-Chocolate (cacaopowder)
-Ginger (dried)
-Orange (dried skin)
Then just make, or buy, a cute package, and that´s it. Admiring gasps guaranteed!

Fudge

This should be really easy, but i have been struggling with getting the texture right. Too soft, too hard. Taste is obviosly always good, afterall it´s mostly sugar and cream! But no one wants to loose their teeth, and on the other hand i want to get them wrapped without them crumbling all around the table. Finally yesterday i managed to get PRETTY nice texture. Still, slightly too crumbly, but i am getting there. This is what i did:

2dl whipcream
2dl sugar
50g butter (make sure it´s the real deal!)
2 tbsp dark syrup
Some marshmallows and salted peanuts

-Heat cream, sugar and syrup. When they start to boil, add butter. Boil until light brown, and make this test: Put few drops of fudge in the glass full of cold water. If fudge hardens and sinks to the bottom, it should be ready. Mix with marshmallows and nuts (or whatever you want to, internet is full of ideas!) Then pour somewhere to cool down and harden (i used plastic lunch box).
And listen now, it is not easy to get it right! It´s a matter of seconds i would say! So be prepared to make these few times before you nail it. But, then again, i´m no expert. You might even succeed at first try.
And as i said, these didn´t turn out the way i wanted, so i´m gonna have to eat them, too, by myself. Poor me. But these can be packed in the paperbag, or glassjar. Or if you have time and energy, wrap them one by one in to some suitable paper.

And hey, if you have left gifts to the last minute, again, these are all really fast to make!

That´s about it! Now i will go and eat some lasagne. Bye!
